An absolutely stunning Bon-Bon dish made for Doulton Lambeth by the celebrated and highly sought after designer Mark V Marshall. This Carrara Ware dish is sculpted like a scallop shell with exquisite modelled eagle handle. Vellum glaze and gilding. Mark Marshall was the most original designer in the history of Doultons. He worked at Doultons from 1878 to 1912, and from the beginning of his career there, his imagination was unrestrained. The diversity of his output was amazing, his designs often grotesque and fantastic. No surprise he is incredibly sought after now. Signed MVM and numbered 388, 12cm across.
