Doulton Lambeth Stoneware Jug with Sterling Silver Rim Antique H’mark 1896

Fine Antiques & Jewellery. Doulton Jug with Silver Rim. A late 19th century, antique, Victorian period Doulton Lambeth stoneware jug. It is fitted with a silver collar which carries the London hallmark for 1896, the makers mark is a little rubbed so we have been unable to identify the maker of the silver work. The jug is a stoneware body and produced in the typical Doulton colours with an attractive tortoiseshell colour neck band and handle. The body is ribbed and has applique flowers running around. To the base of the jug is the Doulton impressed marks, and these are shown in the images for you. Good order for period, no damage. Minor wear and minor production flaws as typical for the period.
