A beautiful, rare Doulton Burslem Neoclassical vase produced in the Slaters Patent Chine Gilt style with a lace textured background surface, and hand decoration of flora, with profuse fine gilding. Additional gilt decoration to base and rim. Approx Dimensions: 10 1/2″ high 5 1/2″ wide. ESTATE FRESH, USED CONDITION. A fine pair of antique Doulton Lambeth vases by Alice E. Budden with a delightful incised floral design surrounding the body of each the brown ground highlighted with a pate-sur-pate design – Doulton Lambeth impressed mark to the base of each as well as the incised mark for Alice E. Budden and assistant artist Bessie Newberry. There is an impressed date mark for 1886 to each vase. Pair Doulton Lambeth Vases – Incised Floral Design – Alice E. A fine pair of antique Doulton Lambeth stoneware vases with a delightful incised floral design set against a brown ground highlighted with a pate-sur-pate design. To the base of each is the Doulton Lambeth impressed rosette mark and the incised mark for Alice E. Each Vase: 15.5cm high, 8cm wide – maximum, 5cm at the base. In good condition – a tiny fleabite to the glaze at the rim of each vase only apparent on the closest inspection. A lovely pair of vases. All items will be well packed and securely boxed.
