A Royal Doulton (Doulton Lambeth to be correct) stoneware fern pot or cuspidor (spittoon) made exclusively for Claudius Ash and Sons Ltd London. Traditionally (back in the day) these were made as a spittoon – however they display wonderfully as a fern pot in the centre of the table or sideboard. Approximately 6 inches tall or 15.5 centimeters tall and approx 8 inches or 20 centimeters diameter at the top. CONDITION: free from chips, cracks, repairs and crazing. A little scratching to the Royal Blue inner rim. And a tiny kiln pop on the edge rim (where a little air pocket has burst). We will invoice you. Royal Doulton Lambeth Silicon Ware Stoneware VasesPair Victorian Faces 6 T
Up for sale we have a Rare Pair of Doulton Art Pottery Vases. These are matching with 4 medallions of Victorian Cherubs going around the middle. Each one is in fine condition for their age and Antiquity. There is one tiny spot that looks like it might have been touched up years ago, or just in the making. It is under the edge on one side of one of the Vases. Otherwise there are no chips, cracks nor repairs. Each one of the medallions is hand modeled & painted with different faces of cherubs crying and smiling crowned & un-crowned. Silicon ware from the 1880’s with Artists marks are on the bottom. Also the Doulton Lambeth Silicon mark from the time period. Before 1901 when Victorian deemed Doulton the Royal Pottery to the Queen. Each one is 6 tall. Would look beautiful anywhere. Up for sale is an Art Decovase attributed to Vera Huggins c1928. The vase was commissioned exclusivelyfor the Distillers W. Lamb and sons as Christmas presents in1928. Provenanceof the Joy Hallam Collection. Vera Huggin’s joinedDoulton in 1923 to 1950, throughout her time at Doultonshe exhibited original pieces worldwide and was praised by suchorganizations as the Royal Academy for her works. She produced a number ofdesigns which would go on to be used for reproduction. Her designs such asthis piece are now much sort after. This beautiful vase has been finished with incised decorations inrustic colours. It measures approx 22 cm in height and is in excellentcondition. Free from crack, chips crazing and restoration. A scarce antique Doulton Lambeth stoneware vase by Harry Barnard decorated with Cocoa Pods – Impressed and Incised marks to the base and dating to c. Doulton Lambeth Cocoa Pod Vase – Harry Barnard – Interesting Monograms – c. An antique stoneware Doulton Lambeth vase decorated with what appears to be Cocoa Pods – one of the pods encloses three marks – possibly artist marks. To the base is the impressed Doulton Lambeth mark – also present is the incised mark for Harry Barnard and an assistant artist probably Alice Smith – the vase is fully dated to the base: 13/10/88. 23.5cm High, 9.5cm wide (maximum), 7cm at the base. Raised decoration of four stylized flower heads , in blue , beige and green , on swirling leafed stems. The body of the vase having a lovely mottled glaze in black , blue and grey.
