Doulton Lambeth Faience Vases, Alice Marshall & Fanny J Allen
Attractive pair of Doulton Lambeth Faience Vases, from early 20th C. Detailed hand painted design by Alice Marshall and Fanny J Allen. With graduated cream to brown ground and detailed. Both have the same decoration but have slight differences in the. Arrangement of the roses. Impressed Doulton Lambeth marks (1 slightly obscured). Signature marks for Alice Marshall. And Fanny J Allen. One stands 27cm tall, the other is a couple of mms shorter, with rim. Diameter of almost 7cm and base of 5.5cm. Both are very good antique condition with no chips or cracks. Doulton Lambeth Sake Bottle & Six Cups Attributed To Agnete Hoy. A rare Doulton Lambeth stoneware sake bottle and stopper plus a full set of six cups, saltglazed and slip painted, circa 1953. The bottle is 22.5cm / 8.75″ tall (including the stopper) and the cups are 5cm / 2″ tall. The pieces are not signed but can be attributed to Agnete Hoy, who was head of the Doulton Lambeth studio from 1952 until its closure in 1956. All pieces are in excellent condition with no issues – please see photos for confirmation. Approx 9.5 high. On offer this Doulton artware jug, with foliate designs in green, blue and brown glazes. Lovely decorated plated lid and fully marked to the base DOULTON LAMBETH 1881 with the artist’s scratched initials. The piece is in Superb condition, no chips, cracks or restoration only wear to the silver plated lid. A great piece, Questions are most welcome.
