This charming example features an all over incised design of scrolling foliage against a textured ground, further highlighted with applied beadwork. The collar has a stiff leaf border while the handle is banded with circle detailing. Stands an impressive 9 1/2″ x 4 3/4″. Stamped Doulton Lambeth oval mark along with incised FAB for Butler. A Rare Doulton Lambeth Sterling Silver Rimmed Vase by Frank Butler. Dated 1875
For sale today we have this Rare Sterling Silver rimmed Vase by Frank A Butler for Doulton Lambeth. Of slender baluster form, the vase features a deeply incised formal Victorian stiff leaf and foliate design to it’s entirety, banded with “lozenge” style applied borders. Beautifully finished off with the application of a hallmarked Sterling silver collar with everted rim. A good size at 9 1/2 tall. Stamped Doulton Lambeth mark, along with date 1875. An Outstanding Early Doulton Lambeth Pitcher by Frank Butler. Dated 1874
For sale today we have this Outstanding Example of an Early Doulton Lambeth Stoneware Pitcher by Senior Artist Frank Butler. This profusely decorated jug has an all over design of scrolling foliate forms below a foliate border to the shoulder and stiff leaves to the collar, while the handle features a more geometric design. The jug is heavily decorated with beadwork borders, and applied rosettes of varying sizes and form giving it a fabulously textured finish. For early Doulton Lambeth this jug really is as good as it gets. Fully marked to the base with a Doulton Lambeth “Oval” mark with the date 1874. Incised “FAB”for Butler. A Beautiful Doulton Lambeth Art Nouveau Vase by Eliza Simmance & Florence Barlow
For sale today we have this Absolutely Gorgeous Doulton Lambeth Stoneware Vase by Senior Artists Florence Barlow and Eliza Simmance. Of slender baluster form, the vase features a stunning Pate-sur-Pate depiction of a garden song bird on a branch of leaves and berries by Barlow. The borders by Simmance are in an early Art Nouveau style and feature flamboyantly scrolling foliate forms that ebb and flow from top to bottom. Collaborations between these 2 always seem to work well and this vase is no exception! Fully marked to the base with a Doulton Lambeth “Cog” mark. Doulton Lambeth, Lemonade Jug, Hannah Barlow, Stag, Deer And A Fox, Dated 1885
Here i have for sale, a Doulton Lambeth Lemonade jug, designed and decorated by Hannah Barlow, dated 1885. The jug stands 9 inches in height and measures 3.25 inches across the top rim and 5.25 inches across the base. The jug is decorated very well, showing Stags and deer, and a Fox that looks like it is running for its life, the detail is neat a precise, a very nice piece. The condition of this piece is very good, a couple of things worthy of mention, there is one bead missing from the top row, this is glazed over and happened during the manufacturing process, there are also 3 beads missing on the bottom row, again, these are glazed over and happened at the time of making, also there are a few burst glaze bubbles, not unusual for Doulton Lambeth, nearly all of them are glazed over and are smooth to the touch, but there are a couple that have not glazed over and feel a little rough, they all happened during the manufacturing process and have been there since it came out of the Kiln, none of them detract from what is a stunning piece. Apart from the above mentioned, there is nothing else to note, and no post production issues and no restoration, guaranteed. Any white marks or other are either camera glare or under glaze. Who ever buys this jug will not be disappointed and it would make a great addition to any collection. Any questions feel free to ask. Antique Doulton Lambeth Cricket Stoneware Jug
Antique Doulton Lambeth Cricket Stoneware Jug. This rare antique Doulton Lambeth jug has been used and sadly as you can see the handle has broken off and is missing. The jug is decorated with different cricket players/ cricketters and lovely Art Nouveau decoration/ floral. The base is marked: Doulton Lambeth England hn 156 n n 13w. Please see photo’s regarding condition of the item. Approx Size of item. This Doulton Lambeth jug has wear, as I have previously stated the handle has broken off and is missing. There are dirty marks/ paint marks and sadly there are some chips on the base/ foot rim. Please see photo’s. For International buyers the items have to fit inside a small box that weighs under 2kgs.
