DOULTON LAMBETH GROTESQUE OIL LAMP MARK MARSHALL 1880. Height 42,5cm, Diameter (reserve) 13,75cm. Mark V Marshall for Doulton Lambeth. Chip to edge of reserve and drilled for conversion to electric, dent and wear to brass. A rare antique Doulton Lambeth brass mounted pottery oil lamp incised and decorated in blue and brown glazes with grotesque figures by Mark V Marshall assisted by Harry Barnard with marks to the base of the oil reserve including the date 1880. The removable oil reserve stands raised on a tall pedestal brass base standing on four feet with an engraved central column with decorative pottery sleeve around the base. The lamp has been converted to electric and has been drilled to accommodate the cable. We cannot and will not declare items below the sale value. This item has been fully inspected in house.
