DOULTON LAMBETH Pottery Large GINGER WINE Jar Edith Beard
An excellent example of a rare Doulton Lambeth pottery “Ginger Wine” barrel. Tap with the name of JA Cox of Old Compton St, London. Identifying Marks / Makers Marks. Signed and stamped to the base. Age / date of manufacture. Measures 9 1/2 tall. Excellent condition – 1 small chip to the rim where the plug fits. The tap has the original cork which is a little aged and would need replacing – it does sit in the barrel. Please see images above. A Rare Doulton Lambeth Geese in Flight Blue Ground Vase by Hannah Barlow. 1877
For sale today we have this Rare Doulton Lambeth Stoneware Vase by Senior Artist Hannah B Barlow. , set on an unusual blue ground the vase features 3 slightly different depictions of geese taking flight in amongst tall rushes and grasses. A simple geometric design to the collar finishes the vase off nicely. Stands 19 cm tall x 10.5 cm in Diameter. Bears a Doulton Lambeth “cog” stamp along with the date 1877. Incised HBB for Barlow and FC for Fanny Clark. A delightful vase presented to the market in very good condition. There are some minor nibbles to the base rim to be considered- aside from that this vase is unblemished. His piece would make a wonderful addition to any serious Doulton collection. RARE DOULTON LAMBETH OPEN BOWL FRANCIS (FRANK) C POPE c. 1912-1925
Rare Antique Doulton Lambeth Bowl by Francis (Frank) C Pope – Art Nouveau Design. This is a really beautiful example of Royal Doulton Lambeth decorative stoneware. Signed with the marking F C P indicating the work of Francis (Frank) C Pope. He worked during the late 19th and early 20th Century, and this bowl is one of later works. This bowl has a beautiful unique Art Nouveau design with excellent detail and unique shape. The exterior of the bowl is glazed with a pinched edge design, brown glaze edge with green base and blue and green leaf design. The inner of the bowl is lighter coloured as shown in the photos as described. Part of my private collection. This bowl has been in my family for 4 generations. The bowl is in very good condition for its age, there are some minor hairline cracks which are visible in the photographs included. Please view all images as they form part of the overall description. The markings are all clearly shown and date the item between 1912 and 1925. George Tinworth Royal Doulton Lambeth vintage Victorian antique blue brown vase
Vintage Victorian antique item, circa 1870’s. Tinworth’s monogram on the face of the vase. 9.5cm in diameter and 26cm high. In excellent condition and I can’t see any damage or restoration. But please note that it has a very strange base in that is completely flat and so wobbles a bit, see photographs. An Exquisite Doulton Lambeth Biscuit Barrel by Edith Lupton. Dated 1880
For sale today we have this Beautifully decorated Doulton Lambeth Stoneware Biscuit Barrel by Edith Lupton. Featuring a fabulous High Victorian incised design of scrolling formal foliate forms across the entire body, highlighted with large applied rosettes and beadwork. The borders, top and bottom, are short stiff leaves with further applied small rosettes. Finished off and contrasted nicely with a flowering lily adorned lid and decorative handle. Fully marked to the base with a Doulton Lambeth mark along with the date 1880. Incised EDL G340 and assistants as shown. 8″ tall (handle up) x 4 1/2″ dia. A stunning and seldom seen vase presented to the market in excellent condition, being free from damage or repair. The silver plate has been rubbed as is expected with 140 years of polishing.
