Royal Doulton Lambeth Georgie Smith Art Nouveau Blue Hearts Stoneware Egg Cup

A lovely Royal Doulton Art Nouveau Cobalt Blue Stoneware Egg Cup with the hearts and floral pattern. I believe the Doulton backstamp dates the piece to (1922-27) and it is signed with impressed GS mark for Georgie Smith and impressed number 6777. Little is known of Georgie Smith and her work is scarce. According to the’The Doulton Lambeth Wares’, by Desmond Eyles and Louise Irvine, she was a Senior Assistant at Doulton in the late nineteenth and early 20th centuries. The item is in good condition with no significant damage (chips/cracks) which I could find. Please see the photos for a more detailed view of the item to judge for yourself its condition.
