For sale today we have this Outstanding Example of really Early Doulton Lambeth Stoneware Pitcher by Senior Artist Eliza Simmance. Created in Eliza’s first year at Lambeth, the spherical jug features an all over relief design of scrolling feather like foliate forms, that have been glazed white and blue. Further embellished with applied rosettes to the collar and a strapwork handle. Fully marked to the base with a Doulton Lambeth “Oval” mark with no date. Incised “ES” for Simmance. 14 cm tall x 12 cm across. A truly beautiful pitcher presented to the market in outstanding condition, being free from any damage or repair.
