A Very Rare Doulton Lambeth Silver Rim Jug Fox & Hound Decoration-Hannah Barlow

For sale today we have this absolutely stunning Doulton Lambeth sterling silver rimmed pitcher by senior artist Hannah B Barlow. Of swollen form and very well decorated with a large sgrafitto dog to the front (under wheeling birds), while to the rear, skulking in the tall grass and bushes is a sly old Fox lifting his nose to the sky. An utterly charming scene! Finished off very nicely with a fully hallmarked sterling silver decorative collar. Stands 9″ tall x 6″ across (including handle). Marked to the base with a Doulton Lambeth oval mark along with Hannah’s HBB monogram. Dates to the early 1870’s. In super condition being free from any damage or repair- a really nice example of a rare subject matter! Any questions, please ask?
