Antique DOULTON LAMBETH Emily Welch L Waters Modular Cube Shape Planters. A truly rare example of an early modular cube design planter jardiniere by Doulton Lambeth. There are 2 sections here, an end and a middle, one sits next to the other like a jigsaw. I believe that these cube shaped planters could originally be bought to make up any length or area by pacing them next to each other (please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong). The “end” or “corner” planter has part of the petal or flower missing as shown in the photos but apart from that and small nicks/nibbles or chips they are in good condition in my opinion, please examine the photos and form your own opinion of the condition. Both pieces have the Doulton Lambeth Impressed back stamp, one has the incised initials EW which I believe to be for Emily Welch and the other has incised initials LW which I believe is for L Waters. 22cm wide x 20cm deep x 17cm tall.
