An antique Doulton Lambeth stoneware vase extensively decorated in Persian style. To the base is the Doulton Lambeth England impressed mark along with incised artist marks for Eliza Simmance and Rosina Brown – c. Exceptional Doulton Lambeth Vase – Persian Design – Eliza Simmance – c. An antique Doulton Lambeth stoneware vase by Eliza Simmance. The vase is decorated in a Persian Style with a heavily incised design outlined by numerous applied beads all combining to give the piece a very striking appearance. To the base is the Doulton Lambeth England impressed mark as well as the incised marks for senior artists Eliza Simmance and Rosina Brown, there is a further artists mark which may be that of assistant artist Eliza Stock. 30cm high, 18cm at widest point, 8.5cm at the base, unpacked weight 1.5kg. In good antique condition – mentioned for accuracy are some minor abrasions to some of the beads some of which have been professionally filled – also mentioned for accuracy are three tiny nicks to the glaze to the underside of the rim.
