Art Nouveau Circa 1900 Doulton Lambeth Vase
Art Nouveau Circa 1900 Doulton Lambeth Vase. This is a classic late Victorian vase of strong geometric form, decorated with embossed pale blue flowers on a pale green and brown background. The underside of the vase is marked with the’Doulton Lambeth England’ stamp, pattern number 928 and the potters initials’pp’ (stamped) and’PB’ (inscribed). This particular Lambeth stamp was used between 1891 and 1956 and the Art Nouveau styling of the flowers implies this is at the beginning of that range. The vase has a diameter of 3.5 inches (9 cm) and it is 8 inches (20.4 cm) tall. It weighs 865 grams. There is a small shallow nick to the rim, over wise excellent.
