Beautiful Doulton Lambeth Oil Lamp by Edith Lupton – Overall height 49.5cm including flute. By artist Edith Lupton for Doulton Lambeth – The lamp is inscribed with the monogram EDL. Lamp base with fitted ceramic reservoir and etched glass dome and clear glass flute. The base of trophy formed with scrolling foliate pattern in green on a white and honey background, raised on a brass and black glass pedestal and mounted with a brass two handle rim. The reservoir is decorated with a band of blue quatrefoils in circular discs on a light brown background and illegible impressed mark to base, fitted with a brass paraffin oil burner. Overall height 49.5cm including flute. Such a beautiful piece. No chips, fractures or restorations. As is norm with these, Flute and Glass dome probably not original due to their delicate nature, but well suited to this lamp and of some age. Will be very well wrapped.
