C1900 Large 58cm Doulton Lambeth Persian Form Stoneware Vase By Eliza Simmance. The magnificent vase is of a tall, tapering cylindrical Persian form with a broad band of moulded’snakeskin’ and foliate decoration, in brown, ble and green mottled glazes. The base is stamped’ES’ for the potter Eliza Simmance, impressed Doulton Lambeth and the Slater’s patent marks. It date from between 1891 and 1902. Please refer to the images for the condition. It is in excellent condition, free from chips and cracks. There are a few minor areas of wear to the glaze. The vase is 58 cm (22.75 inches) tall.
