Doulton Lambeth A Euphemia Thatcher, Stoneware Table Oil Lamp, Oranges & Blossom
Doulton Lambeth A Euphemia Thatcher, Stoneware Table Oil Lamp, Oranges & Blossom. We are pleased to offer this stunning Doulton Lambeth stoneware oil lamp. Please see below for many more photographs. 14 height from base to top of gallery. This is a Doulton Lambeth stoneware and metal mounted table oil lamp, circa 1885, signed A Euphemia Thatcher. The jungle theme is very popular at present and this would fit perfectly within a room decorated as such. The green leaves to the base and the orange chevron sides as well as the hand painted oranges and orange blossom. These are hard to find intact, this one is no exception. The stoneware cover to the font has been repaired, please see photographs for more detail. The gilt has worn in places, looks lovely as it is but if one to restore this lamp and reguild you can see how stunning and shiny it will look along with the high glaze of the hand painted sections. Please do study the photographs closely. _gsrx_vers_856 GS 7.0.20 (856).
