Doulton Lambeth Aesthetic Movement Jar c1881 signed Florence Barlow
Up for sale is a Doulton Lambeth Aesthetic Movement Jar. Âte-sur-pâte depicting seven Swallows birds in foliage set in a incised blue banner with circular motif and beading. It was executed by the highly acclaimed Florence Barlow whose works are much sought after. She joined the Doulton factory in c1873 and is accredited for her work in Pâte-sur-pâte paintings of wildlife, predominantly birds. This piece also bear the monogram for the senior assistant Charlotte Lamb who joined Doulton in c1879 to c1883. Perfect condition free from cracks, chips crazing and restoration. However unfortunately missing the silver rim. Measuring approx 13.5cm tall. Please review photos for completeness.
