A fine Doulton Lambeth Art Pottery grotesque face jug by Mark Marshall influenced by his time with the Martin Brothers. Doulton Lambeth impressed mark to the base as well as the early incised marks for Mark Marshall and assistant artist ethel Beard. Doulton Lambeth Art Pottery Grotesque Face Jug – Mark Marshall – Martin Brothers Interest – c. A fine Doulton Lambeth stoneware face jug by Mark Marshall. The jug has grotesque faces to the top and the bottom of the handle and the piece is clearly influenced by the artists time with the Martin Brothers. To the base is a Doulton Lambeth impressed mark as well as incised marks for Mark Marshall and assistant artist Ethel Beard. 19.5cm high, 13cm wide – maximum, 7.5cm at the base.
