Doulton Lambeth Stoneware Art Pottery Jug 1877
This mint condition 6.5 (16cm) Doulton Lambeth Jug is dated 1876. Shell’ products are rare and when you consider the amont of work needed to produce this jug, that is not surprising. The jug has the Doulton Lambeth impressed mark and the incised monogram. Inside the lambeth mark is the date – 1876. As decorative items were first produced by George Tinworth at Lambeth only started in the 1860s, this jug is very early. The jug is in totally original condition. It has no chips, cracks, crazing, scratches, or restoration. More unusually, there are no missing beads. Lovely blend of colours.
