Doulton Lambeth Suffragette stoneware baby inkwell ink, no damage
Doulton Lambeth stoneware baby figural inkwell c. 1909, made to lampoon the Suffragette v. Otes for women movement, designed by Leslie Harradine with artist mark of Christine Abbott. These inks are almost always found to be damaged or repaired around. & arms, but this example is in perfect condition. This inkwell been in my collection since 2015, but a new addition means it has to leave my cabinet. No chips, cracks, or restoration, some dimpling in the glaze on the baby’s dress & dark grit adhesions at the base edge, but they occurred during the kiln firing & are not damage. These are shown in the photos. The item “Doulton Lambeth Suffragette stoneware baby inkwell ink, no damage” is in sale since Sunday, November 22, 2020.
