A Monumental Doulton Lambeth Persian Inspired Stoneware Vase Eliza Simmance
For sale today we have this Large and Absolutely Stunning Doulton Lambeth Stoneware Vase by Senior Artist Eliza Simmance. Standing an impressive 18 tall, the vase features a very flamboyant Persian inspired central panel of 2 layers of applied Pink flowers, along with stylised and spiralling Green foliage. Further enhanced with applied Rosettes, and beadwork borders in both geometric forms and Temple outlines- truly beautiful! Fully marked to the base with a Doulton Lambeth “Cog” mark and the date 1886. Incised with a conjoined “ES 171″ for Simmance, assisted by “MA” and “G”. 18″ tall x 6 3/4″ across. A truly beautiful vase presented to the market in excellent condition, being free from any chips, cracks or repair. A real “Showstopper” for your collection! Doulton Silicon Lambeth Vase Dates 1891-1912
Decorated in mottled green at the neck section with a stars and geometric design in blue for the rest of the body. Fully stamped with the Doulton Silicon Lambeth mark/stamp. There is also an artist mark like a hashtag as shown in the photos but I have not been able to ascertain who this belongs to. No chips cracks, restoration or crazing save for a very small chip the underside of the foot rim shown in the photos but not visible when displayed. All items that I sell are used unless specified to the contrary and will therefore have ware indicative of age and use. A Monumental Doulton Lambeth Vase Decorated with Horses by Hannah Barlow. 16
For sale today we have this Large and Impressive Royal Doulton Lambeth for the Art Union of London vase by senior artist Hannah B Barlow. Of tall baluster form and with a stunningly realised central sgrafitto panel that depicts a number of horses in various poses set in a tree lined meadow setting. The borders are fairly simple swirls against a mottled blue ground meaning all of the focus is on Ms Barlow’s fine handiwork! An impressive display size at 16 tall. Marked to the base with a Royal Doulton Lion mark along with assistant mark for Joan Honey. The base of the vase looks like it has been rubbed before being fired as the Art Union of London mark is smudged and hardly discernible and Hannah’s monogram is not visible. The vase will be supplied with a letter from Alexander Clement, curator of the Royal Doulton museum confirming all provenance of the vase, artist, date of manufacture etc. In superb condition being free from any chips, cracks or repairs, guaranteed. Large Doulton Lambeth stoneware Tigerware flask by Frances C Pope
Large Doulton Lambeth stoneware Tigerware flask by Frances C. Unusual large late 19th. Century Stoneware jug in Tigerware Salt glaze made by the Doulton Lambeth. Flattened circular form over a small oval foot with concentric raised circles and unusual strap handle to the sides. The base impressed with the Doulton stamp. Although lacking Pope’s Mark this piece came from the collection of Jocelyn Lukins the noted Doulton historian, so I’m sure her attribution is correct – see photograph (of her collection sticker). 11″ (28 cm) H x 10″ (26 cm) W. This footed vase, made in 1883, is molded with green, white and brown bands of geometric patterns. Base is impressed firm mark and dated 1883. Please see the photos. Height – 17.5 cm (6.9). Width – 13 cm (5.1”). Weight – 0.72 kg. Overall good vintage condition, no cracks, no flakes, no repairs. Some other natural age related wear marks may be found due to previous use.
