Antique Doulton Lambeth Salt-glazed Stoneware Jug’SPECIAL HIGHLAND WHISKY
This listing is for an antique Royal Doulton salt-glazed stoneware jug, advertising’Special Highland Whisky. The jug is rustic in shape and colour. It is round, with a small brown handle, and a small spout – missing its original cork. The banners and crest have been applied onto the wet clay and then fired. The back stamp states RD No. 4818 with Royal Doulton hallmarks – a crown and a lion, and 8190 at the bottom. Original cork stopper is missing. Antique Doulton Lambeth Stoneware Large Blue Glazed Tri Handled Tyg
Fine Antiques & Collectibles. An early 20th century Doulton Lambeth stoneware three handled tyg. It has a mottled blue glaze and large flowerheads for decoration. The handles also have small flower heads. This is quite a large example and was made for show or to use as a vase rather than being practical to use. Impressed marks to the base and it also has the artists monogram mark. Good order, minor glaze flaws from firing. Kiln frit adhered to interior bottom from production. Monumental Doulton Lambeth vase By Hannah Barlow 42cm High Dated C1879 Excellent
Monumental Doulton Lambeth vase By Hannah Barlow 42cm High Dated C1879 with cattle & sheep in graffiti with birds flying high to the main body on a cream background with the top and base with foliage design with bead work separating the two. This is a huge vase with full doulton lambeth back stamp, the signature for hannah barlow and dated c1879, and 816. This vase is in nice condition with small amounts of glaze flake to the neck. Please see all photos to appreciate this absolutely gorgeous vase by one of doulton lambeth’s best known artists, the graffiti work is absolutely sublime second to none. Doulton’s Lambeth studio allowed the decorators to sign or monogram their work, which allows many pieces to be attributed to individuals, though often more than one person worked on a piece. Their parents were bank manager Benjamin Barlow (18131866) and his wife Hannah (18161882). They had seven siblings, two of whom also worked for Doulton, Arthur (18451879) who died young and Lucy, who worked in the lesser role of a relief border decorator. Royal Doulton Lambeth Art Pottery Vase Mark V Marshall 1905 Art Nouveau
Beautiful antique Royal Doulton Lambeth pottery Vase with Art Nouveau decoration, by well known artist Mark V Marshall (who also trained for some time at Martin Brothers). The Vase measures 8 high. The Vase is in very good condition with no damage or repairs. Marked Royal Doulton on the base, M. M Artist’s mark and the letter f in a shield, being the date code for 1905. Once I know you’ve got it and are happy, I will leave feedback.
