Tiny glaze nick to one lower corner, otherwise in excellent condition. A scarce pair vintage Doulton Lambeth stoneware book ends probably designed by Harry Simeon and each modelled as a pair of owls perched amongst berried foliage. The owls are perched on a rectangular base and are glazed in brown tones against a coloured background. Both with impressed factory marks along with number 8767 and incised initials NL.
