Doulton Lambeth Vase – Pate-Sur-Pate Floral Decoration – Elizabeth M. A Doulton Lambeth Stoneware vase decorated by senior artist Elizabeth M. The vase sits on a rounded foot that supports a slender gently widening body before giving way to a gently flared rim. The piece is decorated with a floral design with the flowers, that look to be apple blossom, superbly highlighted in slight relief using the pate-sur-pate technique. To the base of the vase is the impressed Doulton Lambeth mark and the impressed date – 1883 – also present is the incised mark for the artist Elizabeth M. Small as well as other assistant artists including Rosina Brown and Eleanor Burrell. The vase is in good antique condition. All items will be well packed and securely boxed.
