Pair Large DOULTON Lambeth NATURAL FOLIAGE Autumn Leaves VASES 12 31cm c1920’s

A fine large pair of Doulton Lambeth, Natural Foliage Ware vases, decorated with autumn leaves, pressed into a mottled ground in browns/greens/blues. Slight colour variation between the two vases, not unexpected as they are individually hand decorated. Unusual to find a pair. Impressed mark used c1922-56, pattern “X6768″ (introduced 1906-11) and “9638”. Large and heavy they stand approx. 12/31.5cm & 31cm tall. Both are in excellent condition with no damage or restoration and no crazing detected. Insignificant firing tear inside neck of one and minor firing cracks o bases where foot applied to vase bowl.
