Pair of Royal Doulton SLATERS Patent Vases by ROSINA BROWN c1905
These superb stoneware vases stand 19cm tall and are decorated with a turquoise floral enamel impressed decoration, with Gilded Background.. Monogrammed/signed by RB to base for Rosina Brown. The base has a gilded beaded border. The hand painted top has a very impressive Blue brush stroke effect. Dating to the late Victorian early Edwardian period (after 1901). There is a scrape to the base of one of the vases which has a top layer part flaked off – see photos. Rosina Brown as an assistant to Hannah and her sister Florence Barlow and to others before making her own mark at Doulton and her work is sought after. Rosina Brown ended her time with Doulton period c 1905. The marks to the base are R. B DOULTON SLATER PATENT X6586 ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND.
