A rare teapot and stand from the Royal Doulton Lambeth factory with tube-lined and applied decoration against a blue ground. Impressed and incised marks to the teapot and stand – c. Royal Doulton Lambeth Teapot & Stand – Lily Partington – c. A scarce Royal Doulton Lambeth teapot and stand with tube-lined and applied decoration against a blue ground. To the base of both the teapot and the stand is the impressed Royal Doulton Lambeth Lion mark – there is an incised artist mark for Lily Partington to the base of the teapot – there is an incised artist mark to the base of the stand that looks to be John Broad although the factory Doulton mark would appear to indicate that this is not possible from a date perspective. Something of a rarity complete with the stand and would enhance any collection. 17cm high including stand, 19cm across at widest point. The piece is in good antique condition without, cracks, or restoration – there is a firing flaw to the lip of the spout completely underglaze and from manufacture – there is a small loss to the glaze on the underside of the cut out section (entirely invisible unless the lid is off and turned over) – some inconsequential glaze loss to the underside of the stand almost certainly from manufacture.
