Pair of Doulton & Slaters Patent Lambeth stoneware vases 17.5cm high x 9cm diameter. No visible marks, cracks, chips, or damage whatsoever. These are very sturdy little vases in the distinctive art nouveau Doulton Slaters style. The pattern on the base of the vase was achieved by laying lace onto the un-fired clay. And then hand-finishing with colour after firing before being glazed. The effect produces a stunning textured finish. The neck of the vase is a gloss glazed finish decorated with dark green flowers against a. Contrasting lighter green background. The top and bottom of the neck is finished with a mosaic tile pattern and brown glazed ring.
