A Rare Doulton Lambeth Aesthetic Movement Vase with Birds by Hannah Barlow












For sale today we have this delightful and extremely rare Aesthetic period vase by both Hannah B Barlow and Emily E Stormer. The vase features a seldom seen Hannah Barlow design of beautifully detailed birds swooping and perching within branches and tall corn stems. Emily Stormer’s borders feature incised stylised foliates with geometrics, all highlighted with applied rosettes and beadwork. Glazed to striking blues and greens (pic 9 & 10 are the best colour likeness). Stamped Doulton Lambeth mark with date 1877. Incised HBB 391, EES 496.
