DESCRIPTION Antique Doulton Lambeth stoneware diamond jubilee commemorative pitcher dating to the late part of the 19th century. Dating to 1897 this typical two tone style along with applied engraving characters (appliqué) was made to celebrate the royal diamond jubilee of the reign of Queen Victoria who had ruled for 60 years. This ceramic pitcher is a stunning example of Doulton Lambeths fine work. This particular piece was made by the Doulton artist Alice Millborrow and is signed on the bottom. Marked on the body: Del Gratia Victorian Queen & Empress 1837 – 1897 She Wrought Her People Lasting Good Marked on the base: Doulton Lambeth England 7395 M (Alice Millborrow) A great example of British pottery at the height of the British Victorian empire. This antique pitcher would make a great addition to any antique kitchen, royal celebration, Victorian collectible or as a decorative item for a rustic home decor. MEASUREMENTS Doulton Lambeth wedding ceramic pitcher measures 5″ tall by 5″ wide and weighs 1lbs 3oz. CONDITION In good condition with what no apparent cracks or breaks (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
