Antique, English, Royal Doulton Lambeth Harvest Jug 6in x 5.5in (sftj) This is a fine Royal Doulton stoneware harvest jug decorated with finely sprigged images of toppers, huntsmen, hounds, windmills and trees. The main body is salt glazed and the neck and shoulder of the jug are covered in a rich chocolate brown glaze. It measures about 6 inches tall and about 5.5 inches in diameter. The jug has an impressed mark on the base used by Doulton Lambeth from c. 1902-22 and the pattern number X2892 introduced in the 1890’s. It has some inner staining and top rim is kinda rough, could be a manufacturing flaw or a repaired chip. Package weight is about 3 lbs.
