A Rare Doulton Lambeth Owl Form Tobacco Jar. A rare owl form tobacco jar with detachable head. Designed by Mark V Marshall as part of a series of animal inspired tableware. Early backstamp, circa 1880. Measures just over 7 inches high. Condition: Head in perfect order. The body has a glaze flake to one of the toes. There are also two hairlines which can be easily seen from the inside. Hardly, if at all visible from the outside. The head and body are a matching pair.
