An interesting Doulton Lambeth vase from the 1920s. A mixture of the gilt circle ware technique and Art Nouveau style with the traditional blue and green. The attractive main pattern is a continuous background of circles which have been enamelled and gilded. The rest of the vase has embossed white dots forming a large droplet repeated four times decorated with flowers. Doulton Lambeth impressed mark 1902 – 1922. Artists signature we believe to be Margaret Thompson, a Faience artist who designed reproduction wares in the 1920s. Assistants signature’d with 2 squares’ being Olive Dale – 1913 – 1921. Dimensions: 7.5″ high x 2.25″ base diameter x 2.75″ top opening x 3″ at the widest point. As a pre-owned work of art, all listings sell AS-IS.
