Mckenzie Art & Design. Add to favourite sellers. Crown Doulton Lambeth Large Pair Impressive Floral Painted Vases. A large and impressive pair Crown Lambeth Ware floral painted vases by a recorded however unidentified artist dating from around 1892. The tall stoneware vases stand raised on narrow round conical feet with tall tear drop shape bodies with trumpet shaped tops. These elegant vases have a gilded stylized gilded web patterns on a pale green ground, possibly forming a basket, and containing shrubs with large flowering blooms with leaves overhanging the basket edge and further foliage forming shadows behind. The flowers are painted in bright colored enamels in rich mauve, white, green, brown and tones of blue and lilac against a cream-colored ground. The pattern is highlighted with sprinkled gilding and some outline highlighting in places with similar gilding applied under the top rims of the vases. Gilded lines are applied around the top and bottom edges of the vases and both have printed Crown Doulton Lambeth marks to the bases along with a recorded but unidentified artist mark along with assistant marks for Miss A Duncan, Miss M Gray and Miss A Turner along with other unidentified marks. Both are numbered 486, one with the addition of 1822. Provenance: From the collection of the late Dr Ronald Austin of Swansea and acquired by a Belgium based collector from the UK Art Market. Condition: The vases are in good condition. Size: Height 28.5cm, Diameter 11.5cm. All items, where appropriate are surrounded using appropriate soft fill chips, biodegradable whereever possible, and help make the contents safe and free from impact risk. All edges of boxes are fully taped and all are finished with FRAGILE warning tape. Multiple Items On occasions clients may wish to order a number of items being delivered to the same address and we will ensure that these are packed into a single or multiple boxes ensuring that the safety of the contents is not jeopardised. If this is not possible we will ensure that the client is advised of when to expect dispatch of their item. We always expedite using the most efficient and effective service.
