Doulton Lambeth Owl Rare Pink Feathers Tobacco Jar By Jane S. Hurst Circa 1881

A superb Doulton Lambeth Owl tobacco jar from around 1881. This is a rare example, having pink feathers ; over 90% had either blue or brown feathers. This was created by Jane S. Hurst, her monogram mark cleary showing on the underside, together with the impressed Doulton Lambeth rosette mark. Hurst was appointed Senior Assistant from 1882. This owl stands 20cm high, and apart from some dust, is in excellent condition; no repairs, cracks etc. Please study the photos carefully, and if you want a photo of a specific area of the owl, please ask.
