Large Doulton Lambeth Saltglaze Jug Gladstone Leeds Election 1880
Description: A Doulton Lambeth salt glaze jug produced to. The Leeds election in 1880. Wording on the jug is as follows: LEEDS ELECTION 1880 on the neck – RT HON W E GLADSTONE 24,622 VOTES – applied with a relief bust of Gladstone, the arms of Leeds and a flower spray, all in roundels around the body. Please see photo for impressed marks to base. Measurements: 9.5 in height. Condition: Pleas e see photos to assess condition. Very good condition overall with no chips or cracks. Firing roughness to base rim edge and a three small firing lines to inside rim. Many of the items we sell are used and are of considerable age.
