A stylish Doulton Lambeth Aesthetic movement stoneware silver mounted twin handled sugar bowl decorated with stylized foliage by Mary Mitchell and assisted by Ellen B Smith and Mary Aitken dated 1878. The rounded sugar bowl stands on a flat narrow rounded base and has simple loop handles applied to either side of the body with a raised opening mounted with a silver rim. The body of the bowl is decorated with stylized leaf and floral designs set within a raised white beaded border the body hand painted in tones of blue and green with white flowers on a salt glazed brown ground. The bowl has an impressed Doulton Lambeth mark along with a monogram for Mary Mitchell along with incised assistant marks. The bowl is dated 1878. Size: Height:8cm, Diameter:10.5cm. All edges of boxes are fully taped and all are finished with FRAGILE warning tape. Multiple Items On occasions clients may wish to order a number of items being delivered to the same address and we will ensure that these are packed into a single or multiple boxes ensuring that the safety of the contents is not jeopardised. If this is not possible we will ensure that the client is advised of when to expect dispatch of their item. We always expedite using the most efficient and effective service.
