Rare, Doulton Lambeth c1883, Eliza Simmance Pair of Reticulated silicon Vases

Very Rare & Scarce – New To The Market – By The Acclaimed & award winning Doulton Lambeth Artist – Eliza Simmance, considered amongst the finest of Doulton Lambeths Decorators. Pair Of Matching Doulton Lambeth – Silicon Vases – Having extensive exquisite reticulated Fine Decoration, This Type Of Decoration was very hard to do with very fine delicate cuts when the clay was wet literally only millimetres between each cut out shape, This in my opinion, with the amount of time to do this technique & the delicate nature of the structure, would of amounted to very high loses during the firing procedure & proved not very productive, hence probably why there was not many produced. So very rare Survivors & a Matching Pair. These Vases have been in my private collection for many years, in that time ive never seen any vases similar to these come on the market. Impressed back stamp marks include Doulton Lambeth Silicon impressed mark with date for 1883 together with Eliza Simmance Initials e s. Measures 9″ tall or 23 cm x 2.75″ or 7cm across, Condition overall is very good but please read full report & see last photo.
