Royal Doulton Lambeth Saltglaze Stoneware Art Pottery Vase Florence Barlow
A lovely Royal Doulton Lambeth saltglaze stoneware art pottery vase decorated by leading artist Florence Barlow in her distinctive style using birds as the main features. Of footed form, the body of the vase swells upward to a flattened shoulder and short neck with a further flattened circular top rim. The body has three panels formed from small white glazed dots each containing pictures of birds among branches. The birds are coloured in a green/blue souffle glaze set against a sandy brown ground. The body of the vase is also coloured in the same green/blue mix. A striking piece – in excellent condition. No chips, cracks or restoration. Height – 35cm approx. V tall and q heavy. Fully marked to base as per photos.
