Tall Royal Doulton Lambeth saltglaze stoneware Art Nouveau Vase by Francis Pope

An extremely tall and elegant art pottery vase made at the Royal Doulton factory in Lambeth – very much in the Art Nouveau style circa 1900 -1920. The vase was decorated by leading artist Francis Pope and features a design of stylised flowers using thick/bold tube lining. The different sections of the vase have then been filled by contrasting coloured glazes. A very striking piece. There has been good professional restoration to both the top rim and the base rim. The vase is therefore very impressive on display. Height – 34 1/2 cms. Fully marked to base including F.
