V RARE DOULTON ADVERTISING FIGURINE TSANG IHANG PERFUME OF TIBET for GOSSMITHS

EXTREMELY RARE DOULTON ADVERTISING FIGURINE. TSANG IHANG PERFUME OF TIBET for GROSSMITHS. This is a very rare Royal Doulton advertising piece in the form of a Tibetan girl, which is advertising Grossmiths”Tsang Ihang perfume of Tibet’ range. This figurine was first issued by Royal Doulton in 1923. It is depicted with a beautifully modelled polychrome glazed image of the young Tibetan girl, with raised fan standing on a black plinth with’Tsang Ihang perfume of Tibet” to its face side. The base has the Royal Doulton back stamp corresponding to the above date and’HN 582′, difficult to see but is this model’s HN number. It measures 11 3/4″ (30cm) H x 4 1/4″ (11cm) W approx; and is in excellent condition, with only some light age-related crazing to report – see photographs and details. This is an extremely rare piece of period Royal Doulton advertising that is in great condition that should appeal to all serious collectors of Doulton pottery. THERE IS NO RESERVE ON THIS SALE.
