Antique Victorian Doulton Lambeth stoneware flagon with solid silver stopper

Antique Victorian Doulton Lambeth stoneware flagon with dark mottled glaze. It has relief decoration with flower heads around the shoulders. It is glazed in dark green/blue mottled tones typical of Doulton items of the period and there is a loop handle from the neck to the shoulders. The base has Doulton impressed marks plus an incised mark, probably an artists mark, but this is difficult to make out, possibly MH. Solid silver stopper has an old cork still present, however this pulls off as it is loose form age / use. Silver stopper hallmarked BIRKS STERLING and has a monogram engraved into the top as photographed. I believe it would have been used for whiskey. Condition: Some little imperfections in the glaze from when it was made. Old paint spot / drop on the bottle, this could be cleaned off if required. No other damage to report to the flagon. Stopper could do with a new cork fitted and silver polished up. Basically what you see in the photos is the exact flagon you will receive and my photos give a better idea of exact condition. 9 ¾ high with silver stopper by 5 at widest part of body.
