Doulton Lambeth Cobalt Green Yellow & Brown Art Nouveau Floral Vase Circa 1900. Nice antique Doulton Lambeth stoneware vase. The body is decorated with a relief molded Art Nouveau floral pattern in blue, green, and yellow over a cobalt background. Mottled brown neck and base. Impressed Doulton Lambeth England on the base. This mark was used between 1891 and 1956. Probably around circa 1900. Has a few small in manufacture stacking flakes to the foot rim, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 4 1/2 inches wide x 10 1/4 inches tall. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece. Royal Doulton Lambeth Art Nouveau Vases signed Eliza Simmance c1903
For your consideration a pair of beautiful Doulton Lambeth Art Nouveau vases, produced c1903 by Eliza Simmance. This pair are beautifully decorated with applied tube-line and beadings depicting floral design typical of the Art Nouveau period. There are several monograms found on the base of each vase. The lead artist is Ms. Eliza Simmance who joined Doulton from c1873 till c1928 and whose works are highly collectable. Also bears the monogram for Ms. Ethel Hawkins listed at Doulton c1897 to c1915. They measures 21cm tall. Very hard to tell, but I’m told one has been professional restored to the neck, displays beautifully and if restored very well done. I do not charge for packaging and will only dispatch with signature and tracking for peace of mind for both parties. Doulton Lambeth Art & Crafts Stoneware Jardiniere Planter Pot Liberty Interest
Doulton Lambeth Art & Crafts Stoneware Jardiniere Planter Pot – Compton Interest. This charming & very good Doulton pot is a rare thing to find. Doulton made an awful lot of examples of the popular late Victorian & Edwardian art movements. You can find plenty of high Victorian, Art Nouveau & the Aesthetic movement but rarely did they stray into the Arts & crafts designs of makers like Compton. The look of this Jardinaire is very much inspired by the work of Archibald Knox & is terracotta planters for Compton. The mark on this pot puts it right at the same time & I would be surprised if they were not an inspiration. This is the only example of this design I have ever seen & its a rare opportunity for a collector. This object (as shown in the picture) stands roughly 20. Cm wide (8 inches), 17cm tall. In antique vintage condition. Signs of age & wear. There is some wear to the applied plaques & a tiny knick to the base. Please study the images for how it presents. LATE 19TH CENTURY – ROYAL DOULTON LAMBETH STONE WARE VASE. An early Royal Doulton stoneware vase from the Lambeth factory. Creamy brown “Tapestry” style background with dark blue rims and neck with floral patterns across the body. Stands 12.5 inches tall. Marked: Doulton & Slaters Patent. Doulton, Lambeth, England – PP #4198. Inscribed initials of artist: hard to make out – But I have seen this design by Elizabeth Atkins on other Doulton pieces. 12 1/2 inches tall x 4 inches wide. No chips, cracks or repairs. However, since this is such a beautiful piece, there is no escaping it. This is a lovely item to own or give as a special gift. Doulton Lambeth Stoneware Tankard w Sterling Silver Rim Beer Ale Pitcher PT
Offered here for your consideration is a. Doulton Lambeth stoneware tankard with a sterling silver rim. It dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. The decoration on the pitcher includes raised Elizabethan figures at a table. The tankard is decorated with a brown and red glaze with gilt highlights. The pitcher is in overall good, as-pictured used estate condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. There are extra drips of glaze, rubbing to the gold, light edge were here and there, fine and light glaze and surface scratches and scuffing throughout, and other. Doulton Lambeth salt glazed stoneware dish by Agnete Hoy, 1952-1956
Size: 20.8 cm (8 inches) in diameter. Condition: Excellent condition, no chips cracks or restoration. This dish is the work of Agnete Hoy, the primary artist at the Doulton Lambeth studios in its final few years before its closure in 1956. Hoy, Danish by birth, had studied at the famous Copenhagen School of Art and worked at Bullers in Stoke on Trent when she first came to England, moving to Doulton in 1952. Her work fused some of Doulton’s famous techniques with her Scandinavian influence, and this dish is a good example. The simple design and muted tone belie considerable technical artistry in the dish. The sgraffito border on the inside of the dish together with a simple band around the outside, has a slightly different slip fifinsh before the overall salt glaze firing, which results in a lifting of the whole design. The salt glaze finish achieved is lustrous and refined. On the base are the impressed Doulton Lambeth mark, Agnete Hoy’s impressed signature, an impressed number 5 and two incised assistant’s marks.
